Abington Art Studio is family-owned and operated here in Clarks Summit, PA. Since our studio opened in 2012, we’ve grown and expanded...and we now offer pottery classes for children and adults.

Pottery Classes

Pottery Classes and Events at Abington Art Studio in Clarks Summit and NEPA
Children's Classes: Ages 5 and Up

Kids learn the how to work with clay through cultural and seasonal projects that teach basic hand building and wheel throwing.  Beginner and Intermediate classes are offered.

Sculpture and Design with Clay: All Ages

Creating animals, faces, and figurines are an amazing way to develop your art skills.  If you have an idea for a sculpture you want to make reality, or just want to try your hand at making a form or figurine, this is the class for you.  Clay is used in many design disciplines from designing cars to sculpting faces for special effects makeup. Let your imagination soar and create something amazing!

Basic and Intermediate Wheel Throwing for Adults: ages 15 and up

Want to make pottery on the wheel? Whether you have lots of experience or none at all, we will work with you to refresh your basic techniques and add some new ones!

Basic and Intermediate Hand Building for Adults: ages 15 and up

Learn or freshen up your skills with clay by creating projects using hand built construction including trays, mugs, bowls and a variety of projects tailored to your interests and desires. These can be purely decorative or completely functional pieces.
